Coach Collins
Owner/ Operator

Codi Collins has spent her life in the studio. Since the age of 7, she has dedicated herself to all genres of dance- ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, modern, and contemporary/ lyrical (her favorite!). She received over ten years of ballet training from Athens-legend, Marianne Hale, through her time at Studio Dance Academy. Over her decade and a half of dancing, Codi competed at Bravo and Starysystems and performed at various events. Her favorite role was that of the Candy Cane Soloist during her company's performance of The Nutcracker, and her favorite routine was a "Lost TV-show" inspired contemporary number.
When her former dance teacher opened a studio in Codi’s community, she jumped at the chance to work with dancers of all ages and show them her love for dance. Since she got her driver's license at age 16, she has been consistently working at a dance studio. Originally starting out as an assistant at Jessica's School of Dance, Codi quickly earned her own classes and was soon working alongside Mrs. Jessica to choreograph and instruct competitive dancers of all ages.

After relocating to Madison County with her husband, Codi jumped at the opportunity to open up her own studio based on Jessica's guidance and support! She considers the studio her 'passion project' and has grand plans for it in the future- including a possible performance/ competitive team and tumbling class.

When she’s not in the studio, she is a special education teacher at Oglethorpe County Middle School. She also enjoys spending time with her husband and son (Rhett), her golden (Magnolia) and her kitty cat (KC).

Miss Maggie
Assistant

Miss Maggie found her way to Collins School of Dance after being one of Coach Collins's students at Oglethorpe County Middle School. She began working with Coach Collins during the Spring 2024 season and has helped with dance camps and recitals since then. Maggie started dancing at the young age of four, and she just recently put her dance career on hold to focus on volleyball and golf when she entered high school. Her favorite dance routine was "Diamond's Are A Girl's Best Friend".

Outside of the studio, you can find Maggie babysitting, hanging out with friends, or spending time with her family. After high school, she plans on attending Augusta University to get a 4 year degree in nursing and then pursue medical school. Her favorite part of CSD is seeing little dancer grow in their dancing ability (and seeing the biggest smiles on their face as they do it!).
